What We Believe

God

We believe in one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God is holy, the Creator of all things, and desires a relationship with humanity. Jesus Christ is God the Son, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived, died, and rose again for our salvation. The Holy Spirit draws people to Christ, convicts of sin, and empowers believers.

Humanity

God created all people in His image for relationship with Him.
Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and in need of redemption. Every person has dignity, value, and the ability to respond to God’s invitation to salvation. We believe children are under God’s grace until they understand the gospel.

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift of God received by grace, through faith in Christ.
All who trust in Jesus are forgiven, born again, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and kept by God forever. True faith endures and produces a transformed life.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our final authority for faith and life.
It contains 66 books and reveals God’s plan of redemption through Christ. Both the Old and New Testaments point us to Jesus and guide the church today.

The Church

The Church is the global Body of Christ made up of all believers, expressed in local congregations.
Jesus is the Head of the Church. Pastors and elders lead, deacons serve, and the whole church participates in worship, discipleship, fellowship, prayer, and mission.

We observe two ordinances:

  • Baptism — a public declaration of faith
  • Communion — a regular remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice

Last Things

Jesus Christ will return.
God will make all things new—eternity with Him for those who trust in Christ, and final judgment for those who reject Him. Believers look forward with hope to resurrection and everlasting life with God.
